A Note from Ly...
There was a 'strike' on FF.net regarding author's not getting enough reviews and whatnot. As I've always said, you should write for YOURSELF and if people enjoy what you write and favorite/review/add it their alert list, that's just a bonus. If you're self-conscious enough to think you're no good unless you're getting reviews, you need to A) check yourself and B) check the quality of your stories.
The same can be said about winning an award. Don't get upset if you don't think you've been nominated 'enough' or a specific favorite of yours didn't get nominated, the fact that you MADE it should say something.

This is not a popularity contest, even if it always seems to turn out that way. It's not about who gets the most votes, or how many people you can convince to vote for you. It's about how GOOD your STORIES are.
If you do ask friends to vote for you, at least make sure they're actual fan fiction readers. And not just readers of YOUR stuff as that makes them biased which all goes back to the popularity of a single author opposed to actual stories.
Voting for yourself and nominating your own stories will get you a personalized email from me. Sometimes people think they can cheat the system and they can't, after five seasons, you'd figure they would have learned by now because they're always busted.
On that note: while always much appreciated when I'm nominated, I am keeping myself from participating in the awards as I am running them solo. So thank you to people who have nominated and voted for me in the past! It just won't be happening that way this season.
That being said, have fun! If anyone needs a place to archive their stories; any of the sites listed in the Submission Guidelines will do and are always open for new authors.
